Director of Investment Facilitation Meets with Officials of Afghanistan Printing Union

On August 3, 2026, Mawlavi Engineer Ahmad Zia Khalid, Director of Investment Facilitation at the General Directorate of Administrative Affairs, met in his office with Sherbaz Kaminzada, Chairman of Baheer Group, Abdul Hussain Farhad, Chairman of the Afghanistan Printing Union, and a number of the union's members to discuss and address the challenges facing the union.

At the outset of the meeting, Sherbaz Kaminzada provided information about the Afghanistan Printing Union and highlighted the union's capabilities. He also referred to the existing challenges related to the import of printing paper and the production of cardboard and requested the Director of Investment Facilitation to assist regarding the import tax standard for printing paper established by the Standards and Quality Authority.

The Director of Investment Facilitation listened to the union's concerns and said that supporting the printing sector is one of the responsibilities of the Islamic system. He further stated that he would discuss the established standard with officials of the Standards and Quality Authority and would work toward resolving the issue.

Mawlavi Engineer Ahmad Zia Khalid added that he would make every effort to strengthen and develop the sector and would soon visit printing houses together with a delegation.

The meeting began with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran and concluded with a prayer for goodwill.
