A Coordination Meeting Was Held to Establish the  Acquisition and Resettlement Authority

In a meeting held by the Coordination of High Council Affairs, the establishment of an Acquisition and Resettlement Authority was discussed with representatives of the Ministries of Urban Development and Lands and Rural Development, IDLG, Kabul Municipality, and CRIDA (Capital Region Development Authority).
Shahpoor Zhaman, Director of Coordination of High Council  Affairs, said that based on the decision of the High Council for Water, Land, Urban Development and Environmental Protection, the principle of acquisition and resettlement under the organizational umbrella of the Ministry of Urban Development and Lands had instructed the Ministry of Urban Development and Lands to submit practical, refined, and simplified mechanisms to the Council regarding the structure of the agency.

Afterward, Gul Rahman Totakhel, Deputy Minister of Land Affairs, Ministry of Urban Development and Lands, presented the plan and mechanisms for the establishment of the Acquisition and Resettlement Authority, which was discussed by the participants.
The meeting concluded with the decision that the participants will share their views in writing with the Ministry of Urban Development and Lands. The Ministry will revise and enrich the plan by adding practical mechanisms, and the final draft of the plan will be shared with the Directorate of Coordination of High Council Affairs within ten days.
