Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development (MRRD)
Duties and Mission:
To reduce poverty by empowering rural communities, strengthening socio-economic opportunities, coordinating, and facilitating development in the rural areas of the country.
Organizational Structure of the Ministry:
The Ministry consists of three deputy ministries (Planning and Policy, Finance and Administration, and Rural Development Affairs). It also has 18 central departments and 34 provincial directorates.

This section is implemented in every department in accordance with the enforced laws and regulations of the country.

The Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development implements various types of development projects in the provinces, such as: Rural roads Small irrigation dams (check dams) Drinking and sanitary water supply networks Retaining walls Bridges and culverts
Karezes (underground water channels) and irrigation canals.
Every project implemented in the villages is selected based on the needs and priorities of the local people, and then sent to the Ministry for legal processing and approval.
Requests for ministry services are accepted through the provincial directorates of Rural Rehabilitation and Development after official verification.
There is no specific time frame for the implementation of ministry activities.
No service fees are charged for the ministry’s services.
Citizens can submit their complaints through the relevant provincial directorates of the ministry in all provinces.
