Second Cabinet Meeting: Discussions Held on Railway Land Acquisition and Water Supply to Nearby Areas of Shah wa Arous Dam
On July 14, 2025, the second Cabinet meeting of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan was convened under the chairmanship of Al-Haj Mullah Mohammad Hasan Akhund, the Prime Minister of the Islamic Emirate.
The meeting began with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, followed by discussions and decisions on major economic, social, and cultural issues in the country.
During the meeting, under the supervision of the Ministry of Finance, a delegation was assigned to closely assess the land acquisition process for the fourth phase of the Herat–Khaf railway and submit its final report to the Office of the Prime Minister for further action.
It was also decided that, in order to supply water from the newly constructed Shah wa Arous Dam to nearby areas of Kabul, a meeting shall be held under the leadership of Sheikh al-Hadith Mawlavi Noorul Haq Anwar, Director General of Administrative Affairs, with the participation of representatives from the Ministry of Water and Energy and the Water Supply Company. The final outcome of the meeting shall be shared with the Office of the Prime Minister.
It is worth mentioning that, following detailed discussions and resolutions on several topics, the cabinet meeting concluded with a prayer for goodwill.
