Coordination Meeting on the Introduction of the Document Follow-up System Held

On January 1, 2024, a coordination meeting aimed at the introduction of the "Document, Guidance, and Orders Follow-up System" was held under the leadership of the Directorate of Information Technology of the General Directorate of Administrative Affairs of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, with the participation of officials from the Directorate of Information Technology, the Directorate of Documents and Communication, and representatives from all ministries and Emirati institutions.

This meeting, held in the conference hall of the General Directorate of Administrative Affairs, began with the recitation of the Holy Quran. Then, Mawlavi Abdul Bari Atif, Deputy Director General for Policy of the Emirate of the General Directorate of Administrative Affairs, stated that the purpose of the document follow-up system is to accomplish more work in less time. He explained that the General Directorate of Administrative Affairs serves as a bridge between the Prime Minister's Office and Emirati institutions, constantly striving to create better coordination among institutions to facilitate operations.

In the meeting, Mufti Mohammad Hussain Kawsari, Director of Information Technology of the General Directorate of Administrative Affairs, spoke about the importance of the "Document, Guidance, and Orders Follow-up System." He expressed that in today's world, governments use technology to connect with the public. He emphasized that it is necessary for us to utilize technology to reduce paperwork and prevent the wastage of time by implementing the "Online Document Follow-up System" (ODF) so that communication between the General Directorate of Administrative Affairs, ministries, and Emirati institutions becomes electronic and work can be accomplished in less time.

Engineer Ahmad Farkh Halimi, Head of Application Development at the Directorate of Information Technology, provided a presentation explaining the significance, motivation behind its development, processes, and benefits of the "Document, Guidance, and Orders Follow-up System," as well as the responsibilities of ministries and Emirati institutions regarding the system. The presentation was well-received and praised by the representatives of the ministries and Emirati institutions.

In the end, technical officials from the ministries and Emirati institutions, for further information regarding the system, shared their opinions and questions. These were addressed by officials from the Directorate of Information Technology and the Directorate of Documents and Communication. It was decided that additional training sessions would be held for the technical representatives of the ministries and Emirati institutions to familiarize them further with the system.

The meeting concluded with a prayer by Sheikh Bismillah Shakir, Director of Invitation and Guidance of the General Directorate of Administrative Affairs.
