A regular meeting regarding the status of Kabul city cemeteries was held


Today, Sept 7th, 2023- Based on the direction of H.E Prime Minister's Office, directorate of cultural and social affairs of AOP IEA held a regular meeting with ministries of Hajj and Religious Affairs, Agriculture, Irrigation & Livestock and Kabul Municipality in order to ascertain the land for the Kabul city cemeteries.

This meeting which was held under the leadership of Mawlavi Muhammad Ishaq Akhundzada, commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by the discussions of the issues outlined on the agenda.


In the meeting, the relevant committee presented the report of its activities on land stabilization to the meeting and discussed the solution of the problems in this field.

In conclusion, Mawlavi Muhammad Ishaq Akhundzada, director of cultural and social affairs, asked the relevant government organs to wrap up the remaining works as soon as possible and send the final report to the H.E Prime Minister's Office via this directorate for decision making.

It is worth mentioning that according to the instructions of the H.E Prime Minister of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, the task of designating 600 acres of land for the graveyards in the four zones of Kabul has been assigned to the relevant government organs.
With this land, the problem of the burial of the dead of Kabul residents will be solved.

The meeting concluded with a prayer for goodwill.
