A coordination meeting was held to speed up the construction work of mosques on highways

Today, August 30, 2023- Cabinet Cohesion and High Commissions Directorate of AOP IEA held a coordination meeting to speed up the construction work of mosques on highways.

This meeting was chaired by Mawlavi Saifuddin Taieb, Deputy of Supervision and Policy of AOP IEA, in which Qari Abdul Satar Saeed, Director of Cabinet Cohesion & High Commissions Directorate and other officials of this directorate were also present. At the outset of the meeting, Mawlavi Saifuddin Taieb, asked the relevant administrations to immediately commence the construction work of mosques and identify the problems that have caused delays and obstacles in this regard, so that necessary measures could be taken.

Moreover, in this meeting, representatives of the ministries of Public Works, Agriculture, Irrigation & Livestock, Haj & Religious and Urban Development & Housing were also present where they shared their ideas and suggestions regarding the issue.

Additionally, in this meeting, the ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock was handed over the task of readying the designated places for the construction of mosques.

Also, the ministry of Urban Development and Housing was given the task of preparing the technical survey, maps, structure and engineering works of the mentioned mosques in the upcoming ten days and submit the final report to the AOP IEA.

It is worth mentioning that in the 29th cabinet meeting of IEA last year, it was decided to build separate mosques in every 100km of the highways with all the necessary facilities for men and women after which this 100km distance was reduced to 70km by the order of esteemed Amir-ul-Mu'minin.
