IEA welcomes the kind of criticism that is for reformative purpose, says director of social and cultural affairs

Today, August 9th, 2023, the social and cultural affairs director, Mawlavi Muhammad Ishaq Akhundzada held a meeting with the representatives of journalists and media federations.


This meeting, which was held today in the meeting hall of AOP IEA, under the chairmanship of Mawlavi Muhammad Ishaq Akhundzada, head of cultural and social affairs commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by the discussion of the existing problems of the representatives of journalists and media federations.


In the meeting, the representatives of journalists asked for cooperation in providing timely information to the media, prevention of fake media channels, providing jobs to unemployed journalists, and eliminating the financial problems of the media outlets and journalists.

Moreover, they asked the Islamic Emirate to identify the biased, projective and real media and said that those who implement foreign projects and spread negative propaganda should be recognized and their activities should be stopped and those who write and publish anything that is factual should be supported.

The social and cultural affairs director, Mawlavi Muhammad Ishaq Akhundzada, assured the representatives of journalists and media federations to address the issues faced by them and added that Islamic Emirate welcomes the criticism which is for the reformative purpose not for the purpose of creating chaos.

In addition, Mawlavi Muhammad Ishaq Akhundzada asked the representatives of journalists and media federations to comply with the rules and standards of journalism.

At last, the director of social and cultural affairs promised representatives of journalists and media federations to share the issues faced by the media and journalists with the leadership.

The meeting concluded with a prayer for goodwill.
