A Coordination Meeting Was Held to Discuss the MSP Project

Dr. Abdul Karim Totakhel, Deputy Director-General of Cooperation of State Affairs, led a meeting attended by representatives from the Ministries of Labor and Social Affairs, Communications and Information Technology, Finance, and the National Statistics and Information Authority to discuss the MSP project.
The project pays about 4,000 employees of the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs and the Ministry of Education through mobile phones, but some telecommunication networks have budget concerns.
The MSP project was earlier given to the Directorate of Service Administration of the Ministry of Telecommunication and Information Technology. Since the mentioned directorate is affiliated with the National Statistics Office, the performance of the project is stalled.
It was stressed at the meeting that the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) and the National Statistics and Information Authority should immediately coordinate to prevent further delays in government employees' salaries. It was also decided that the Directorate of Legal, Legislative, and Judicial Affairs prepare its legal assessment of the project and sends it to the President's Office.
