Director General of Administrative Affairs Formally Introduced Deputies of the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum
On August 3, 2026, Sheikh al-Hadith Mawlavi Noorul Haq Anwar, Director General of Administrative Affairs, participated in a ceremony held at the conference hall of the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum to formally introduce the ministry's newly appointed deputy ministers. He said that Afghans now have a system and leadership in which their leader is chosen by their own will rather than under the pressure or dictates of others. He added that the officials appointed within this system have been tested over the past several years, have emerged from among the people, and have successfully passed every test they have faced.
At the ceremony, which was also attended by Mullah Hedayatullah Badri, Minister of Mines and Petroleum, along with a number of directors and employees of the ministry, Sheikh al-Hadith Mawlavi Noorul Haq Anwar, Director General of Administrative Affairs, formally introduced Mawlavi Mahmood Shah Zahid, former Deputy for Policy, Monitoring and Evaluation at the General Directorate of Emirate-Owned Companies, as Technical Deputy Minister of Mines and Petroleum; Mawlavi Mohammad Ishaq Sahibzada, former Deputy Minister for Railways at the Ministry of Public Works, as Deputy Minister for Finance and Administration; and Mawlavi Abdul Mateen Saeed, former Deputy Minister for Revenue and Customs at the Ministry of Finance, as Deputy Minister for Geological Survey.
Director General of Administrative Affairs further stated that, according to the teachings of the Prophet (peace be upon him), responsibility and position are not marks of honor, achievement, privilege or superiority; rather, they are a trust. He added that when such a trust is placed upon a person, it is not necessarily good news, as there is a great possibility that one may fail to fulfill it.
It is worth mentioning that the new deputy ministers were appointed in accordance with the order of His Highness Amirul Momineen (may Allah protect him) and were formally introduced by the Director General of Administrative Affairs to the employees of the ministry.
The ceremony began with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran and concluded with a prayer for goodwill.
