Coordination Meeting Held to Address Tourism and Educational Companies Issues
On April 27, 2026, a coordination meeting was held in the conference hall of the General Directorate of Administrative Affairs under the chairmanship of the Director of Cultural and Social Affairs, Mufti Mohammad Idris Anwari, with the participation of representatives of tourism and educational companies from the center and provinces to address their issues.
At the outset of the meeting, the Deputy Director of Cultural and Social Affairs welcomed the participants and stated that the Directorate of Cultural and Social Affairs has conducted over 150 meetings with various segments of society to address their concerns. He added that many of the raised issues and requests have already been resolved.
Subsequently, representatives of tourism and educational companies stated that approximately 185,000 tourists visited Afghanistan last year, and currently around 6,800 companies are operating in these sectors. They added that several important challenges still exist in the tourism sector, including difficulties in obtaining visas due to the closure of many countries’ consulates, as well as the absence of a unified user system for companies.
In conclusion, the Director of Social and Cultural Affairs, after listening to the participants’ concerns, promised to share them with the relevant authorities for resolution.
The meeting, which began with the recitation of the verses from Holy Quran, concluded with a prayer for goodwill.
