Meeting Held to Implement Prime Minister’s Order Regarding Standard Butchery
On October 13, 2025, a coordination meeting was held by the Directorate for Follow-up on Guidances and Orders at the General Directorate of Administrative Affairs to implement the order of the Honorable Prime Minister regarding standard butchery in Kabul City.
The meeting, held in the conference hall of the General Directorate of Administrative Affairs, was attended by representatives from Kabul Municipality, the Ministries of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock, and Public Health, as well as the Emirate Slaughter Company and the Directorate of National Economy and Infrastructure.
At the outset, Director of the Follow-up on Guidances and Orders Directorate, Mawlavi Fazal Ahmad Haqqani, briefed participants on the subject and added that all of us are obliged to follow the orders of the leadership of the Islamic Emirate. He emphasized that all Emirate institutions should strengthen mutual cooperation and coordination in this regard.
Mr. Haqqani stated that the Islamic Emirate strives to standardize all institutions and take necessary steps in accordance with the needs of the time, so that the health of citizens and environmental protection can be ensured.
During the meeting, participants shared comprehensive views, challenges, and suggestions regarding standard butchery in Kabul City and the slaughtering of animals in slaughterhouses. They stressed that, in order to protect the environment and safeguard public health, butchers should slaughter animals in Emirate slaughterhouses that are built according to standard procedures.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the Director of Follow-up on Guidances and Orders requested the participants that relevant Emirate institutions share their opinions and proposals regarding standard butchery with the General Directorate of Administrative Affairs for a final decision to be made by the higher authorities.
The meeting, which began with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, ended with a prayer for goodwill.
