Seven-Day Online Educational Seminar for Officials of Provincial Municipalities Begins
On October 11, 2025, the Operational Directorate of the General Directorate for Coordination of Municipal Affairs launched a seven-day online educational seminar for around 400 officials from 30 central and 170 district municipalities, where officials will receive training in revenue management, technical and professional affairs, urban governance, procurement, municipal budgeting, appointments, and other related areas.
The seminar commenced in the conference hall of the General Directorate for Coordination of Municipal Affairs, in the presence of Mawlavi Mohammad Ishaq Akhundzada, Director General for Coordination of Municipal Affairs; Qari Abdul Mateen Rahimzai, Operational Director; and Mawlavi Mohammad Yaqoob Sharafat, Director of Urban Governance.
At the outset, Mawlavi Mohammad Ishaq Akhundzada stated that enhancing the capacity of employees is an essential need of the present era. He added, “We all must strengthen our abilities in our respective areas to have better command over administrative affairs and to deliver effective services to the people.”
Subsequently, Qari Abdul Mateen Rahimzai, the Operational Director, briefed participants about the seminar. According to him, the General Directorate for Coordination of Municipal Affairs has organized three major educational seminars for municipalities across the country during the current fiscal year, two of which have been successfully completed, while the third one began today.
