Follow-up Meeting on Implementation of Decree No. 20 of His Highness Amir al-Mu'minin

On September 1, 2025, a follow-up meeting, led by Mawlavi Mohammad Sadiq Akif, Director of Cabinet Affairs Coordination and High Commissions at the General Directorate of Administrative Affairs, was held to implement Decree No. 20 of His Highness Amir al-Mu'minin Hafizahullah Ta'ala, concerning the sharing of information about urban plans with the public through mass media, print outlets, mosque imams, and local community representatives.

The meeting was attended by Mufti Shamsurrahman, Director of National Economy and Infrastructure, deputies from the Legal, Legislative and Judicial Affairs, and Policy and Strategy Directorates, as well as representatives from the Ministry of Urban Development and Housing, Kabul Municipality, and the General Directorate for Coordination of Municipal Affairs.

At the outset, Mawlavi Mohammad Sadiq Akif spoke about the significance of the decree and stressed the need for its accurate and timely implementation.

In addition to following up on the points raised in the previous meeting, participants also discussed how best to present urban master plans to the public. It was decided that detailed municipal plans should be shared with citizens through mosques, sermons, and various media outlets, including print, audio, and visual platforms.

Furthermore, representatives from Kabul Municipality and the General Directorate for Coordination of Municipal Affairs were tasked with preparing a report on their urban planning work. This includes separating plans developed before the conquest from those prepared in the past four years and presenting the findings in the next session.

The meeting began with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran and concluded with a prayer for goodwill.
