Foundation Stone Laid for Mosque in Compound of General Directorate of Administrative Affairs


On June 24, 2025, a ceremony was held for the laying of the foundation stone of a mosque in the compound of the General Directorate of Administrative Affairs and the inauguration of a library. The event was attended by Sheikh al-Hadith Mawlavi Noorul Haq Anwar, Director General of Administrative Affairs, Sheikh al-Hadith Mawlavi Azizurrahman Mansour, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Hajj and Religious Affairs, and several other directors of the General Directorate of Administrative Affairs.

The ceremony began with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, followed by a speech delivered by the Director General of Administrative Affairs, Sheikh al-Hadith Mawlavi Noorul Haq Anwar.

Sheikh al-Hadith Mawlavi Noorul Haq Anwar stated in his speech that in the past, decrees were issued aimed at weakening the people’s connection with mosques. However, it is now a matter of pride that decrees are being issued to support the construction of mosques.

The Director General of Administrative Affairs added that it is a matter of joy that today, based on the order and approval of His Highness Amir al-Mu'minin (may Allah protect him), the foundation stone of a mosque with full facilities has been laid in the compound of the Directorate.

Meanwhile, Mawlavi Azizurrahman Mansour, Deputy for the Ministry of Hajj and Religious Affairs, stated that it is a matter of happiness that we are witnessing the laying of the foundation stone for a mosque in such an important and historic location.

This mosque is planned to be constructed on an area of 890 square meters, across two floors, funded by the Ministry of Hajj and Religious Affairs. Upon completion, it will accommodate over 1,200 worshippers at the same time.

In another part of the ceremony, a fully equipped library constructed within the compound of the Directorate was inaugurated and officially put into use by Sheikh al-Hadith Mawlavi Noorul Haq Anwar, Director General of the Directorate.
