Director of Cultural and Social Affairs Meets Ulema and Tribal Elders of Surkhi Parsa District, Parwan Province

On May 21, 2025, the Director of Cultural and Social Affairs, Mawlavi Rabbani Naseeh, met with a group of ulema, tribal elders, and youth from Surkhi Parsa District of Parwan Province in the conference hall of the General Directorate of Administrative Affairs to address their concerns.

At the beginning of the meeting, Mr. Noor Mohammad Haidari, Deputy Director of Cultural and Social Affairs, welcomed the participants and stated that the gathering was not ceremonial, but rather a responsibility to listen to the concerns of the people and work toward finding effective solutions.

Participants expressed their appreciation for the meeting and noted that, unlike in previous regimes where people had to wait in long queues outside officials’ doors, officials now take the initiative to invite them and listen to their issues and suggestions.

The tribal elders highlighted several key challenges, including the lack of proper roads, bridges and culverts, small dams, cold storage facilities, a standard hospital, schools, electricity, madrasas, and telecommunication infrastructure.

The Director of Cultural and Social Affairs listened carefully to their concerns, suggestions, and demands. He stated, "We do not claim authority, but consider ourselves responsible servants of the people. We listen to problems that cannot be solved at the provincial level and try to address them here as best we can.” He assured the participants that all their concerns would be shared with the relevant authorities for resolution.

The meeting, which began with the recitation of the Holy Quran, concluded with a prayer.
