Director of NPD: Together, we must work for the strengthening of the system and the growth of society

On May 19, 2025, a meeting aimed at supporting, encouraging, and coordinating the National Procurement Directorate with the private sector was held under the chairmanship of Mawlavi Abdul Baqi Mansour, Director of NPD, in the conference hall of the directorate, with the participation of private sector representatives.

The Director of National Procurement, while expressing satisfaction over the participation of private sector representatives in the meeting, said that businessmen are a segment of society who create job opportunities for the people and play an important role in the country’s economic growth. He also added, “When the government and the private sector work together in coordination and cooperation, it leads to economic growth and the advancement of society.”

Mawlavi Abdul Baqi Mansour, addressing the private sector representatives, said: “Let us join hands and work together to strengthen the system and foster the growth of society, so that our country becomes a place where everyone can feel peace and prosperity.”

Private sector representatives shared their challenges, views, and suggestions to improve coordination between the private sector and the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, and requested the Director of National Procurement to ensure that the Islamic Emirate supports the private sector and addresses their problems.

The Director of NPD listened to the views and suggestions of the participants and assured them that the issues faced by the private sector would be shared with the relevant authorities and leadership of the Islamic Emirate for better coordination and cooperation. He also asked the private sector representatives to pay attention to their responsibilities as well.

The meeting, which began with the recitation of the Holy Quran, ended with a prayer for goodwill.
