On February 26, 2025, a coordination meeting of the Committee for the Prevention of Urban Congestion and Promotion of Urban Culture was held under the chairmanship of Mawlavi Omaar Zamarak Yasir, Director of Plan and Design of the Construction Affairs of the General Directorate of Administrative Affairs.

The meeting took place in the conference hall of the General Directorate of Administrative Affairs, with the participation of representatives from the Ministries of Urban Development and Housing, Energy and Water, as well as Kabul Municipality, the National Environmental Protection Agency, and the General Directorate of Traffic.

During the meeting, participants shared their views and suggestions regarding the development of the prepared plan and the implementation of committee procedures for activating the addressing system, installing GPS, using security cameras, establishing markets for street vendors, and clearing sidewalks of carts and other obstacles to prevent urban congestion and promote urban culture.

The Director of Plan and Design of the Construction Affairs of the General Directorate of Administrative Affairs carefully listened to the participants’ views and suggestions and decided that the relevant agencies should share their plans and proposals with the Directorate of Plan and Design of the Construction Affairs, so that a final decision can be reached in the next meeting.

The meeting, which began with the recitation of the Holy Quran, concluded with a prayer for goodwill.
