The Inaugural Ceremony for Streamlining Administrative Processes in Emirate Ministries and Institutions Held

On February 2, 2025, the Administrative Reforms and Civil Services Authority of the General Directorate of Administrative Affairs commenced the process of streamlining and standardizing support (procurement, financial, and administrative) processes for Emirate ministries and institutions for the 1404 Solar year during a special ceremony.

The ceremony, held at Salam Khana Palace in the Arg, was attended by Mawlavi Abdul Salam Hanafi, Administrative Deputy Prime Minister; Dr. Mullah Abdul Wasi Khadem, Chief of Staff to the Prime Minister's Office; deputies and directors of the General Directorate of Administrative Affairs; as well as deputies of various ministries and institutions.

During the ceremony, Mawlavi Abdul Salam Hanafi emphasized that streamlining administrative processes is a significant step. He stated that the Islamic Emirate is committed to simplifying administrative procedures across institutions, creating ease for the public, and eliminating bureaucratic hurdles.

Mawlavi Saifuddin Taib, Deputy Director General for Coordination of Emirate Affairs at the General Directorate of Administrative Affairs, noted that civil service processes were previously complex, causing numerous challenges for citizens. He highlighted that the Islamic Emirate has acknowledged these issues and is actively working to create ease for the public.

Dr. Mullah Abdul Wasi Khadem, Chief of Staff to the Prime Minister's Office, stressed that past governance issues that posed challenges for the public must be completely resolved to provide facilities across all sectors.

Mufti Shahzad Noor Rashid, Director of the Administrative Reforms and Civil Services Authority, provided an overview of the administrative streamlining process and outlined future plans. He mentioned that since the re-establishment of the Islamic Emirate, 938 administrative processes have been simplified across various ministries and institutions, and 10,837 officials have been trained.

Furthermore, deputies from the Ministry of Higher Education, the Technical and Vocational Education Authority, and several other officials also addressed the gathering. They highlighted the necessity of simplifying complex administrative processes and regarded it as a significant achievement.

At the conclusion of the event, officials from the Administrative Reforms and Civil Services Authority presented a detailed presentation on streamlining the complex administrative processes.

The Administrative Reforms and Civil Services Authority comprises five directorates, one of which is responsible for overseeing the simplification of administrative processes based on the needs of all ministries and institutions. It is also considered one of the most important directorates of the mentioned authority.

The authority plans to initiate the practical implementation of streamlining previously assessed complex administrative processes during the 1404 Solar year, according to which several processes will be simplified and necessary facilities will be provided to the public.

The ceremony, which began with the recitation of the Holy Quran, concluded with a prayer for goodwill.
