50 Private Sector Representatives Participate in the Access to Bidding Opportunities Online Program &Practical Information Provided on How to Use the System

On December 15, 2024, officials from the Private Sector Unit of the Electronic Procurement System Development Department (EPSD) of the National Procurement Directorate (NPD) conducted an online session on accessing bidding opportunities via the e-procurement system.

The session was attended by more than 50 vendors and focused on raising public awareness and providing training on the Afghanistan Electronic and Open Procurement System.

In collaboration with the Ministry of Finance (MoF), vendors were introduced to the Afghanistan Vendor Registration and Classification System (AVRCS), a component of the Afghanistan Government Electronic & Open Procurement System (AGEOPS).

Detailed information was shared about the system's features and how vendors can fully benefit from them.

During the session, NPD employees provided a comprehensive presentation and video guide. They also engaged vendors in practical exercises, focusing on obtaining and using the Vendor Procurement Identification Number (vPIN).

Vendors were encouraged to register their companies in the system, enabling them to easily access project announcements and tender documents from procurement entities across the country.

The AVRCS plays a crucial role in streamlining the procurement process, fostering opportunities for consortium building, promoting sustainable development through inclusive participation, assessing company capabilities, ensuring fair competition, and enhancing the professionalism of participating companies.
