Director of Investment Facilitation Meets Afghan Industrialists

On December 4, 2024, Mawlavi Engineer Ahmad Zia Khalid, Director of Investment Facilitation of the General Directorate of Administrative Affairs, met with Sherbaz Kaminzada, Head of the Afghanistan Industries and Mines Chamber (AIMC), along with several other Afghan industrialists to discuss their concerns.

The meeting was held in the office of the Investment Facilitation Director, where Mawlavi Khalid expressed his gratitude for the presence of the country’s industrialists and stated that the policy of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan is economic-oriented. He emphasized that it is the responsibility of the Islamic Emirate to encourage the country's industrialists and support domestic production.

Sherbaz Kaminzada, Head of the Afghanistan Industries and Mines Chamber (AIMC), stated that domestic production in Afghanistan is growing and has begun to compete with neighboring countries. He stressed the need for cooperation to make the country self-sufficient.

During the meeting, Afghan industrialists presented their ideas and suggestions, particularly regarding the tariff on milk powder and other challenges facing the private sector. They requested that the Islamic Emirate address these issues to enable greater production and industrial growth.

Mawlavi Engineer Ahmad Zia Khalid listened carefully to the concerns and suggestions of the industrialists. He assured them that the Investment Facilitation Directorate is open to both domestic and international investors and promised to coordinate with relevant authorities to resolve their issues.

The meeting began with the recitation of the Holy Quran and concluded with a prayer for goodwill.
