On November 14, 2024, a meeting was held under the leadership of the Investment Facilitation Directorate of the General Directorate of Administrative Affairs, with the participation of representatives from the Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation, and Livestock; the Chamber of Industrialists of Kabul; and private pistachio companies to discuss establishing pistachio orchards and expanding investment in the pistachio sector.

The meeting began with the recitation of the Holy Quran at the Marmarin Palace of the General Directorate of Administrative Affairs. Following this, the Directorate of Investment Facilitation provided an overview of the projects, activities, and progress within the pistachio sector.

Additionally, representatives from the participating agencies shared their perspectives on various pistachio types, the stages of orchard establishment, challenges, and investment opportunities within the sector. They also requested that the Investment Facilitation Directorate give special attention to the creation of pistachio orchards.

In conclusion, Mufti Abdulwahid Usmani, Deputy Director of the Investment Facilitation Directorate, assured attendees that he would provide comprehensive support to pistachio orchard investors, considering the scale of their investments. He also encouraged the representatives of private pistachio companies to submit their plans to the directorate for review by experts, with the aim of making necessary decisions regarding finalization in the next meeting.

The meeting concluded with a prayer for goodwill.
