A meeting was held to initiate the practical work of installing scanners at the country’s customs ports

On November 6, 2024, under the leadership of Engineer Mawlavi Ahmad Zia Khalid, Director of Investment Facilitation at the General Directorate of Administrative Affairs, representatives from the Ministries of Interior Affairs, Finance, and Industry and Commerce, as well as the General Directorate of Intelligence and the contracted company, convened to discuss the practical steps for installing scanners at the country's customs ports.

The meeting began with the recitation of the Holy Quran in the conference hall of the General Directorate of Administrative Affairs. Mr. Khalid then outlined the purpose of the gathering, which was to review the technical delegation's findings following their visit to the country’s customs ports.

Mr. Khalid highlighted that the delegation found suitable land available at some customs ports, making it essential for the contracted company to start the design work per the agreement.

Meanwhile, representatives from the participating agencies engaged in a comprehensive discussion on the design and detailed planning of the scanner installation areas.

In closing, Engineer Mawlavi Ahmad Zia Khalid emphasized the critical importance of installing scanners at customs ports and urged all relevant agencies to carry out their responsibilities promptly and diligently.

The meeting concluded with a prayer for goodwill.
