Cultural and Social Affairs Director Meets with Sulaimankhel Tribe Elders
On November 4, 2024, Mawlavi Mohammad Rabbani Naseeh, the Cultural and Social Affairs Director of the General Directorate of Administrative Affairs, met with elders and youth from the Sulaimankhel tribe to discuss their concerns.
Held in the conference hall of the General Directorate of Administrative Affairs, the meeting began with a welcome by Deputy Director of Cultural and Social Affairs, Noor Mohammad Haidari, who stated that the directorate has held over 100 meetings with various community groups to listen to their concerns and relay them to the relevant authorities for action.
During the meeting, Sulaimankhel tribe representatives requested the recovery of 150 jeribs of usurped land in Kabul’s Bagrami area, along with the construction of a school and hospital in the eighth district. They also asked for a road to be built for Gardkol village and clean water wells, check dams, schools, and bridges in the Moqar districts of Ghazni and the Khairabad area of Jalalabad City. Additionally, they requested shelter for newly returned Afghan refugees from Pakistan and employment opportunities for their youth.
The Cultural and Social Affairs Director listened attentively to the tribe’s issues and assured them that their requests would be shared with the relevant authorities. Regarding the usurped land, he explained that the Commission to Prevent Land Usurpation is actively working on this issue and has already reclaimed thousands of jeribs of land. He reassured them that their case would be addressed.
The meeting concluded with a prayer for goodwill.
