Coordination Meeting Held on the Recommendations of the National Strategy to Combat Administrative Corruption
On September 16, 2024, a coordination meeting was held under the leadership of the Directorate for Combating Administrative Corruption of the General Directorate of Administrative Affairs. Representatives from the Ministry of Finance, and Ministry of Mines and Petroleum attended the session, which focused on finalizing the recommendations for the National Strategy to combat administrative corruption.
The meeting took place at the conference hall of the General Directorate of Administrative Affairs, where Mawlavi Abdul Bari Atif, Deputy Director General for Policy, reiterated the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan's firm policy and commitment to eradicating corruption, describing it as a deadly phenomenon that must be eliminated.
Mr. Atif emphasized the need for strong will and determination in the fight against administrative corruption and removing all obstacles that stand in the way of combating corruption.
During the meeting, representatives from the participating agencies outlined their respective achievements in fighting administrative corruption. It was agreed that the final recommendations of the Directorate for Combating Administrative Corruption would be shared with all agencies involved to aid in the completion of the National Strategy document.
It is worth mentioning that key recommendations discussed in this meeting included the establishment of an electronic revenue collection system, the reactivation of inactive electronic systems, and the installation of security cameras at high-tonnage scales at checkpoints.
