The Director General for Coordination of Municipal Affairs traveled to Helmand Province
The Director General for Coordination of Municipal Affairs, Mawlavi Mohammad Ishaq Akhundzada, led a delegation to Helmand Province, where they met with officials and directors of various departments to improve municipal affairs and strengthen the relationship between municipalities and other Emirate agencies.
The meeting began with the recitation of the Holy Quran in the governor's office, attended by district governors and other provincial officials.
The Director General explained that the purpose of their visit is to monitor the activities of Lashkargah Municipality, highlighting that the municipality operates as a non-budgetary unit, using income from cleaning and real estate for the city's reconstruction and urban order.
During the meeting, Noorullah Haqmal, an expert from the General Directorate for Coordination of Municipal Affairs, delivered a presentation on revenue collection, expenditure, service provision, and other municipal-related issues.
Mohammad Ishaq Akhundzada also stated that each province's municipality funds are used for that province's development and are not transferred elsewhere, urging officials to cooperate in the regulation of the city and implementation of the municipal plan.
The meeting concluded with a prayer for goodwill.
