The Director General for Coordination of Municipal Affairs met with the county councilors and occupational union representatives of Herat’s City

The Director General for Coordination of Municipal Affairs, Mawlavi Mohammad Ishaq Akhundzada, met with the county councilors and occupational union representatives of Herat’s City at the conference hall of Herat’s Municipality regarding their issues.
In the meeting, Mawlavi Mohammad Ishaq Akhundzada emphasized that the General Directorate for Coordination of Municipal Affairs is a non-budgetary unit, and its revenue is collected from the people and then spent back on them to provide services.
Mullah Niamatullah Hasan, the Mayor of Herat’s Municipality, highlighted that the municipality is the shared home of all of us and that the municipality's funds belong to the people, and if these funds are used improperly, the people have every right to demand accountability.
Mawlavi Mohammad Ishaq Akhundzada listened to the problems, suggestions, and opinions of the county councilors and the occupational union representatives of Herat’s City. He added that the advice of the people's representatives is acceptable and applicable in accordance with Sharia law. Additionally, he emphasized that the officials of the municipality should have a good attitude towards the people.

The meeting ended with a prayer for goodwill.
