The Director General for Coordination of Municipal Affairs traveled to Maidan Wardak Province

On August 13, 2024, Mawlavi Mohammad Ishaq Akhundzada, the Director General for Coordination of Municipal Affairs, visited Maidan Wardak Province and met with the governor, Qari Maaz Bakhtiar, the police chief, the mayor, and various institution directors. The meeting was held at the Maidan Wardak Governor’s Office's conference hall and commenced with the recitation from the Holy Quran, followed by discussions on various agenda items.

During the meeting, Mr. Akhundzada stated the purpose of his visit, which was to enhance coordination between Maidan Shar Municipality and local institutions. He highlighted the significance of the cooperation of local institutions with municipalities, especially given that the municipality operates as a non-budgetary institution, with its revenues dedicated to providing services to the people.

Governor Qari Maaz Bakhtiar expressed gratitude for the visit, acknowledging the hardships faced by the people of this province and emphasizing the priority of delivering basic services to the residents. He assured full cooperation with Maidan Wardak municipality across all sectors.

To conclude the meeting, Noorullah Haqmal, an official from the General Directorate for Coordination of Municipal Affairs, delivered a presentation on revenue collection, expenditure, service provision, and other relevant aspects of the institution's operations.

The meeting ended with a prayer for goodwill.
