A coordination meeting was held to prevent the usurpation and cutting of forests in Kunduz Province

On July 21, 2024, a coordination meeting was held under the leadership of the Legal, Legislative and Judicial Affairs with the participation of relevant agencies, based on the direction of the Prime Minister's Office to prevent illegal cutting and usurpation of forest areas in the Imam Sahib District of Kunduz Province.
The meeting was led by the Director of Legal, Legislative, and Judicial Affairs, Mawlavi Muhammad Hanan Haqqani, and was attended by representatives from various ministries including Interior, National Defense, Foreign Affairs, Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock, Rural Rehabilitation and Development, as well as the National Environmental Protection Agency.
The representatives of the aforementioned agencies, who had recently traveled to Kunduz province under the leadership of the Director of Legal, Legislative and Judicial Affairs to address the issues related to forest areas and usurpation of agricultural lands in the Imam Sahib District of Kunduz Province, presented their findings, reports, and suggestions during this meeting.
In this meeting, in order to prevent the cutting of forests, usurpation of agricultural lands, and the transfer of local residents to an alternative location, the views of the appointed delegation regarding the solution to these issues were gathered and it was decided to send it to the Prime Minister’s Office for the final decision.
The meeting, which began with the recitation of the Holy Quran, concluded with a prayer for goodwill.
