First Cabinet meeting; discussions were made about the Aqina-Andkhoi railway and Kabul-Kandahar highway

On July 8th, 2024, the first meeting of the Cabinet of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan was held under the chairmanship of Al-Haj Mullah Muhammad Hasan Akhund, the Prime Minister of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, where several important matters were discussed and decisions were made.

The meeting commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran, after which according to the agenda, the acquisition of 30 km of land in the first phase of the Aqina-Andkhoi railway was discussed and a delegation was appointed to closely inspect the acquisition of this land and present the results at the next Cabinet meeting.

In addition, the Ministry of Public Works was tasked with meeting the contracting companies responsible for the construction of the second road of the Kabul-Kandahar highway from Kabul to Ghazni and sharing the results with the Prime Minister’s Office so that practical work can begin soon.

The meeting concluded with a prayer for goodwill.
