A coordination meeting was held to discuss the rent of shops at Khairkhwah Electronic Complex.

On May 26, 2024, a coordination meeting took place at the conference hall of the General Directorate of Administrative Affairs, to discuss the rent of the shops and offices at Khairkhwah Electronic Complex.
The meeting involved officials from the Investment Facilitation Directorate, Finance Ministry, Bank-e-Millie Afghan (BMA), and investors of the complex.
At the outset of the meeting, Engineer Ahmad Zia Khalid, Director of Investment Facilitation Directorate, emphasized the importance of determining the rent in a way that benefits the shopkeepers, investors, and the affected without causing harm to anyone.
During the meeting, representatives from the Ministry of Finance and Bank-e-Millie Afghan (BMA) also shared their views, highlighting the need to fairly consider the market situation when determining the rent.
As a result of the meeting, it was decided that the rent for the shops and offices at Khairkhwah Electronic Complex should be determined based on the rent in adjacent markets. Additionally, a five-member committee will be formed from representatives of relevant agencies to oversee this process.

Khairkhwah Electronic Complex, located on Nader Pashtun Road in Kabul, is a $32.08 million investment project with construction work started last year. The project is built according to the DBFO (Design-Build-Finance-Operate) model with the cooperation of the Investment Facilitation Directorate of the General Directorate of Administrative Affairs and the Public-Private Partnership.
The complex is built on 9 floors and has a total of 1278 shops, 79 offices, and 2 parking lots with a capacity for 1680 vehicles. It also features restaurants, green areas, and exercise facilities.
The private sector will handle the design, construction, finance, maintenance, and operation for up to 30 years from the effective date of the contract before transferring all facilities and property to the Emirate without payment.
The meeting commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran and concluded with a prayer for goodwill.
