22nd Cabinet meeting; the draft of determining the size and extent of roads was approved

On May 20th, 2024, the 22nd meeting of the Cabinet of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan was held under the leadership of Mullah Muhammad Hasan Akhund, the Prime Minister of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan.
The meeting commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran, after which several important matters were discussed and decisions were made.
At the outset of the meeting, the Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs, Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund, presented figures and information about the martyrs, the injured, and the financial losses due to the recent floods in the country.
Meanwhile, the Hon. Prime Minister recommended the relevant bodies to assist the affected people and provide them with necessary care.
During the meeting, the Cabinet approved the draft prepared by the Ministry of Public Works for determining the size and extent of roads, and the mentioned ministry was tasked with carrying out public awareness in this regard and installing information boards related to the size of the roads along the highways.
Additionally, the General Directorate of Traffic was instructed to share the traffic-related plan with the relevant organizations and to present the final report to the Cabinet meeting after review by the High Commission of Transport under the leadership of the Acting Minister of Economy, Qari Din Muhammad Hanif.

The Cabinet meeting concluded with a prayer for goodwill.
