There are no restrictions on foreign investors in the country, says Director of Investment Facilitation

On April 2nd, 2024, the Investment Facilitation Directorate's technical team, led by Engineer Ahmad Zia Khalid, Director of Investment Facilitation of the General Directorate of Administrative Affairs, held an online meeting with Bangladeshi businessmen regarding the establishment of cargo and passenger terminals in Afghanistan.

During the online meeting, Engineer Ahmad Zia Khalid expressed that since the re-establishment of Islamic Emirate, the country's security has been ensured and the investment opportunities for domestic and foreign investors have been made possible more than ever before.

One of the Bangladeshi businessmen, Hassan Haider, shared his ideas about the establishment of terminals for cargo and passengers and other commercial opportunities with the Investment Facilitation Directorate's technical team and also expressed his desire to invest in various sectors in Afghanistan.

The Director of Investment Facilitation assured that there are no restrictions on foreign investors in the country. Companies from China, Turkey, America, and other countries are already implementing various projects in Afghanistan.

In the end, Engineer Ahmad Zia Khalid expressed his commitment to assisting both domestic and foreign investors who are interested in investing in Afghanistan and he encouraged Bangladeshi businessmen to submit their proposals and plans to the Investment Facilitation Directorate, so that they can receive more support in the investment sector.
