A coordination meeting was held to prevent the usurpation of forest areas in Kunduz Province.
On April 1, 2024, a coordination meeting was held at the General Directorate of Administrative Affairs to prevent illegal cutting and usurpation of forest areas in the zero point of Imam Sahib, Kunduz Province.
The meeting was attended by representatives of various ministries and agencies, including the Ministry of National Defense, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock, and the National Environmental Protection Agency.
The meeting began with a recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by a discussion of the report and findings of a delegation that had previously traveled to Imam Sahib District of Kunduz Province regarding the issue.
Mawlavi Abdul Baqi Mansour, Director of Legal, Legislative and Judicial Affairs, emphasized the importance of sharing the report with the General Directorate of Administrative Affairs to gain clarity in decision making.
The representatives of the agencies discussed the issue and emphasized the need for coordination and collaboration with local authorities to solve it.
They also suggested that instead of taking back the residential houses that had been usurped by people in the forest areas of the Imam Sahib district of Kunduz province, land should be given to them from other areas.
In conclusion, Mawlavi Abdul Baqi Mansour decided to appoint a delegation and arrange a plan for their trip to Kunduz Province.
The meeting ended with a prayer for goodwill.
