Nineteenth Cabinet meeting, Actions to be taken to prevent speeding and traffic incidents


On March 18, 2024, the nineteenth Cabinet meeting of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan was held under the chairmanship of Mullah Muhammad Hasan Akhund, the Prime Minister of Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan. The meeting began with the recitation of the Holy Quran, after which several important matters were discussed and decisions were made.

One of the issues discussed at the meeting was the control of over-speeding of cars and the prevention of traffic incidents. The Ministry of Interior Affairs, along with the Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation, the Ministry of Public Works, and the Supreme Court were tasked with developing a plan to provide the necessary equipment to the traffic to determine the speed and movement of vehicles along highways. The plan is to be shared with the Prime Minister's Office.


Additionally, A delegation, led by Mawlavi Abdul Salam Hanafi, the Administrative Deputy Prime Minister of Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan with the participation of representatives from the Ministry of Interior Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock, Ministry of Urban Development and Land, Ministry of Borders, Tribes and Tribal Affairs, General Directorate of Intelligence, and National Statistic and Information Authority has been formed to determine the geographical boundaries of districts, gather information about them, and submit a final report to the Prime Minister's Office.

The Cabinet meeting also directed the Ministry of Economy to inform all institutions that they are strictly prohibited from employing any Emirate employee until their legal term has been fully served and completed.
