Employees of nine Procurement entities receive training and awareness on PPMS

The National Procurement Directorate (NPD) of the General Directorate of Administrative Affairs provided training and awareness to the 21 employees of nine Procurement entities about the Procurement Planning Management System (PPMS) of Afghanistan's electronic and open procurement system (AGEOPS).

This training program was held on Monday, March 4th, 2024, at the conference hall of the National Procurement Directorate (NPD), with the participation of the procurement employees from the ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development (MRRD), the Ministry of Urban Development and Housing (MUDH), the Ministry of Interior Affairs (MoIA), the Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation, and Livestock (MAIL), the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH), Da Afghanistan Bank (DAB), Da Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat (DABS), the National Procurement Directorate (NPD), and Kabul Municipality (KM), where they were provided with detailed information about submitting their procurement plans, including timing, dates, and project locations in the system.

During this meeting, a presentation was delivered on NPD performance and the e-procurement system, emphasizing the importance for Procurement entities to register their Fiscal Year 1403 procurement plans in the PPMS, and a sample of projects was demonstrated to them practically.

At the conclusion of this program, officials from the Procurement entities were evaluated regarding their understanding of the PPMS and they assured the NPD of entering their 1403 FY plans into the system.

It is worth noting that AGEOPS was launched during a special ceremony on December 13th, 2023, at the Salam Khana Palace of ARG, in the attendance of several Cabinet members, and representatives of the region and countries.
