National Procurement Institute launches an online training program for provincial and district officials

Mar 4, 2024- The National Procurement Institute of the General Directorate of Administrative Affairs, commenced a four-day online training program for 63 procurement officers from eight provinces and 12 districts, where they will be provided training in various areas of procurement.

This program was opened today by Qari Abdul Wali Sediqi, National Procurement Director, where he expressed that following closely and regularly the procurement training program results in eliminating the problems in this sector and a procurement officer can carry out his work in an effective way and according to him, by not following this learning program the procurement officer could face a lot of procurement problems.

Additionally, Mr. Sediqi added that if more companies participated in the bidding of projects through open competition and the Standard Bidding Documents (SBDs) are arranged in a comprehensive manner, then this measure would be in the interests of people and Islamic Emirate and would result in people having more faith in the procurement processes of the government.

This meeting, which started with the recitation of the Holy Quran, concluded with a prayer for goodwill.
