The Director General for Coordination of Municipal Affairs met with the representative of UNOPS

Al-haj Abdul Qahir Feroz, Director General for Coordination of Municipal Affairs of the General Directorate of Administrative Affairs held a meeting with Najibullah Amiri, a representative of the United Nations Office for Projects Services (UNOPS) for the purpose of the implementation of two development projects.

This meeting was convened in the conference hall of the General Directorate of Coordination of Municipal Affairs, where Al-haj Abdul Qahir Feroz said that the above-mentioned institution should first implement its provincial projects in the areas where the revenues of the municipalities are low.

Furthermore, Hon. Feroz asked UNOPS to share all its development and non-development project documents with the General Directorate of Coordination of Municipal Affairs and provincial municipalities, as well as not implement its development projects in the areas that contradict the municipal master plan and detailed plans.

Meanwhile, Mr. Najibullah Amiri, the representative of UNOPS, said that, so far this institution has launched projects in ten provinces of the country and plans to implement its development projects in all provinces in coordination with the General Directorate of Coordination of Municipal Affairs.
Additionally, he emphasized that the municipalities should closely monitor and control the implementation of these projects.

This meeting, which started with the recitation of the Holy Quran, concluded with a prayer for goodwill.
