Feb 18, 2024- A memorandum of understanding was signed between Afghanistan Electricity Company and Noor Kabul Khurasan Company in a meeting chaired by Mawlavi Abdul Wali Haqqani, Deputy Director General of Monitoring and Policy of the General Directorate of Administrative Affairs.
The meeting on this occasion was held at the conference hall of the General Directorate of Administrative Affairs, where Mawlavi Abdul Wali Haqqani, said that by signing this memorandum of understanding the Afghanistan electricity company has taken a practical step for the digitalization of its administrative system.
Afterward, Engineer Ahmad Zia Khalid, the Investment Facilitation Director, said: The signing of this memorandum of understanding will lead to the elimination of the people's problems in the production of smart meters and it will also decrease the level of imports from foreign countries in this sector.
Meanwhile, Faridullah Basmal, the representative of the Afghanistan Electricity Company, said at this meeting that Installing smart meters will prevent electricity loss, and this company is obliged to make the criteria and quality level considered by the Afghanistan Electricity Company a principle of its products.
Also, Fawad Dara, on behalf of Noor Kabul Khurasan Company, said: This company has invested 10 million US dollars in this sector, and after signing this memorandum of understanding, 150 people will be directly and 500 more will be indirectly employed in the production of smart meters.
This meeting, which commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran, concluded with a prayer for goodwill.
