Improving The Capacity Of Procurement Staff Leads To The Betterment Of Procurement Procedures

Jan 15, 2023- The National Procurement Institute of the General Directorate of Administrative Affairs launched a three-day online capacity-building workshop for the provincial staff of procurement in order to enhance their capacity.

Qari Abdul Wali Siddiqui, Director of the National Procurement of the General Directorate of Administrative Affairs, said in the opening meeting of this online capacity-building program related to procurement that boosting the capacity of procurement staff results in better implementation of the procurement procedure and according to him, we are seeking to increase the capacity of the procurement staff.

This online training program is attended by 65 personnel of several Emirate agencies of 11 provinces and includes topics about the importance of procurement, the basic concept of public procurement, planning, and stabilization of requirements, the bidding process, as well as standard conditions and contract awards.
