A Coordination Meeting Was Held Regarding The Plan Of Electronic Gates (Tollgate)

Dec 31, 2023- The Directorate of Investment Facilitation of the General Directorate of Administrative Affairs held a coordination meeting with the deputies, directors, and representatives of the ministries of Transport and Civil Aviation, Finance, Interior Affairs, Mines and Petroleum, Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock, Urban Development and Land, as well as Kabul Municipality, and Da Afghanistan Bank about the plan of installing electronic gates at the entrances of Kabul.

This meeting was held at the compound of the General Directorate of Administrative Affairs, in which Mawlavi Abdul Wali Haqqani, Deputy of Supervision and Policy of the General Directorate of Administrative Affairs, said that the sovereignty of the Islamic Emirate is the fruit of the sacrifices of the people of Afghanistan, and we are obliged to provide better services to the people with complete honesty and sincerity.

Additionally, he added that the installation of electronic gates would result in increased revenue, improved security, and ease of traffic. Thus, it is necessary to implement the plan of installation of electronic gates and the relevant agencies should cooperate shoulder-to-shoulder in it.
Similarly, the representatives of the relevant agencies shared their thoughts about the development of the said plan and pledged their full cooperation in the implementation of it.
In the end, Engineer Ahmad Zia Khalid, Investment Facilitation Director asked the representatives of the ministries and related agencies to send the requirements of their agencies to the inter-ministerial committee within a week; Afterwards, the Ministry of Transport and Aviation will include the requirements of every agency in the plan of installing electronic gates.

The meeting concluded with a prayer for goodwill.
