A Meeting Was Held Regarding The Amendment Of The Public-Private Partnerships Law

Dec 24th, 2023- Based on decree No. (9) of the Esteemed Amirul Momineen, a meeting was held regarding the amendment of the Public-Private Partnerships law under the chairmanship of the Investment Facilitation Directorate, and with the participation of the representatives of the ministries of Finance, Mines and Petroleum, Urban Rehabilitation and Development, as well as Energy and Water, Public Health, Commerce and Industry, and the electricity company of Afghanistan.

This meeting was held at the compound of the General Directorate of Administrative Affairs, where Engineer Ahmad Zia Khalid, director of Investment Facilitation, said that we are endeavoring to finalize the amendment of the Public-Private Partnerships law soon.

Correspondingly, the representatives of the related agencies shared their thoughts on the amendment of the mentioned law and said that special attention should be paid to the Sharia issues in this law.

Concluding the meeting, the representatives of the Ministry of Finance were assigned to deliver their perspectives about the afore-said law in written form to the leadership of the Investment Facilitation Directorate which will be forwarded to the review committee of the legislative documents.
