Darul Aman Palace opened to the public and tourists
Yesterday, Oct 31st, 2023- The grand historic Darul Aman Palace was opened to domestic and foreign tourists in the presence of the Leadership and Directors of the General Directorate of Administrative Affairs, Cabinet Members, ethnic leaders, county representatives, youths, and journalists during a ceremony.
The event, held at the courtyard of the mentioned palace, commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by the speeches of officials and people's representatives.
During his address at the ceremony, General Director of Administrative Affairs, Sheikh-ul-Hadith, Mawlavi Noorul-Haq Anwar, said that although this kind of news is common in other parts of the world, it has many messages for Afghans and it makes them delighted.
He added that Darul Aman Palace and other historical places used to be battlefields before, but now alhamdulillah it has turned into places of entertainment and tourism.
Furthermore, he said that before, those people were called heroes and real sons of this country who were responsible for the killings of innocent Afghans and their demolition, but now the real sons of the country are those who work for the welfare and development of the country and its people.
On the other hand, Financial Director of the General Directorate of Administrative Affairs, Dr. Saleem ur Rahman Hasham, in his speech went on to highlight the historical background of Darul Aman Palace and called the opening of the palace a good opportunity for entertainment to the people and tourists.
The historical Darul Aman Palace was established during the reign of Amanullah Khan and he managed the affairs of the country for two years from this palace, where all government bodies were active in it.
In the 1347 solar year, the Ministry of Public Works was deployed there and due to an electric short circuit its third floor was flamed, but then it was rebuilt and the Ministry of Justice was deployed there.
It should be said that the General Directorate of Administrative Affairs is considering opening the historical and entertainment places of this administration, such as the Islamic Culture Center of Ghazni, royal properties in Nangarhar, and many more places in front of domestic and foreign tourists.
The ceremony concluded with a prayer for goodwill.
