National interests should be taken into consideration in the construction of roads, says director for Economy

Today, October 29th, 2023- A coordination meeting about the construction of the Kabul-Jalalabad highway road from Pul-e-Charkhi to Sarobi was held under the leadership of the Economy Directorate of the General Directorate of Administrative Affairs, which brought together the representatives of the ministries of Public Works, Finance, Agriculture, Energy & Water, Municipality and Police Headquarters of Kabul.

At the outset of the meeting, Mawlavi Feroz, Director of Economy thanked the committee appointed based on the guidance of the H.E. Prime Minister for their services and heard their report about the mentioned highway road and also exchanged opinions with the participants of the meeting on solving the existing problems in this area.
Subsequently, the representative of the Ministry of Public Works said that obstacles and shops located on the road should be kept away from the enclosure of the road so that neither the road will be harmed nor the shopkeepers and those who are busy working on the road will suffer.

Furthermore, the participants in this meeting decided that national interests should be prioritized over personal interests, and with the coordination of related departments, those who are located on the enclosure of the road should be given time to find an alternative place for themselves and vacate the road.

The meeting, which started with the recitation of the Holy Quran, concluded with a prayer for goodwill.
