IEA holds cabinet meeting

Today, Aug 26, 2023- The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan IEA held a cabinet meeting under the chairmanship of H.E Mullah Muhammad Hasan Akhund that was participated by the officials from all ministries and independent Directorates.

In this cabinet meeting, in addition to other decisions, a delegation was entrusted with the responsibility of reducing the percentage of electricity waste, controlling wages, and reducing the prices of electricity and tariffs through understanding with the relevant countries.

This delegation elected under the leadership of Mawlavi Amir Khan Muttaqi, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs, was assigned to appeal to the Central Daarul-iftaa regarding the permissibility or non-permissibility of electricity tariff differences in the country based on regions, sources, or according to the amount of electricity used.

Moreover, in this meeting, a delegation under the chairmanship of the Acting Minister of the Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development including the representatives of the Ministries of Agriculture, Irrigation & livestock, National Defense, Interior Affairs, and the General Directorate of Intelligence was entrusted with the task of finding out about the government and private lands seized for the purpose of security posts and bases during the previous administration.

Additionally, in this meeting, the plan for a suitable place and solution for urban sewage was approved and all government ministries and administrations were entrusted with the task of searching the lost goods and vehicles related to them, find them and if they are unable to collect it from the trustees then they should notify they should notify the Prime Minister's office about it.

The meeting ended with a prayer for goodwill.
