Yesterday, Aug 1, 2023, The MoU was signed between the AOP IEA and KRO in the presence of the chief of the office of General Director of AOP IEA, Mawlavi Abdul Baqi Mansour and head of the General Directorate of Municipalities. This meeting, that was held yesterday in the office of the General Director of Municipalities, commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by the introductory speech of Mufti Muhammad Yaqoob Sharafat, Director of Urban Governance of the General Directorate of Municipalities of AOP IEA.

Afterwards, Obaidullah Ahmadi, head of Kandahar Refugees Organization (KRO), stated that we are happy to implement our plans in coordination and cooperation with the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, and we are working on addressing the problems of the people in the southern provinces of the country.

Mawlavi Abdul Baqi Mansour, chief of the office of the General Director, said that all those charitable organizations that work for the betterment of the people of Afghanistan are fully supported by Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan.

Moreover, Mawlavi Abdul Baqi asked the Kandahar refugees organization (KRO) to perform its duties and responsibilities properly so that the rights of the deserving and needy people are not wasted.

It is worth mentioning that, in addition to many districts of Kandahar, this organization operates in all districts of Uruzgan and also in some other provinces in the south of the country.

After signing this memorandum, more than 5,000 deserving families in the south of the country will receive 70% of free aid and 30% of aid for work and will benefit from this MoU for up to 12 months.

The meeting concluded with a prayer for goodwill.
