Cabinet Cohesion and High Commissions Directorate of AOP IEA convenes a coordination meeting to decide the fate of cemeteries
Today, 31 July, 2023, a coordination meeting was held between the Cabinet Cohesion and High Commissions Directorate of AOP IEA, Ministry of Hajj and Religious Affairs, and Kabul Municipality in order to address the problems of Kabul residents regarding cemeteries.
The meeting, which was held today in the meeting hall of the AOP IEA , commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by the introductory speech of Qari Abdul Satar Saeed, head of the the Cabinet Cohesion and High Commissions Directorate.
In the introductory speech, Qari Abdul Satar Saeed provided brief information about the agenda of the meeting to the participants.
After, Mawlavi Wali Gul Jawad, the head of cultural affairs of Kabul Municipality stated that the residents of Kabul continuously complain to the Kabul Municipality about the land of cemeteries and the burial of the dead.
Mawlavi Jawad added that it is necessary to organize the cemeteries of Kabul city by considering the implementation of the master plan of Kabul city.
Further, in the meeting, Mawlavi Abdul Wali Haqqani, administrative and finance head of the Ministry of Hajj and Religious Affairs said that the Ministry of Hajj and Awqaf has presented a plan to acquire land for cemeteries in four different areas of Kabul city, which has progressed significantly and its remaining work will also be completed soon.
At the end of the meeting, it was decided that relevant agencies should share the issue with the relevant authorities in order to deal with the problems of the residents of Kabul and the solution should be presented for approval to the Prime Minister's Office.
