General Director of AOP IEA paid a visit to the flooding struck areas in Maidan Wardak
According to the Hon. Prime Minister's instructions, Sheikh-Ul-Hadith, Mawlavi Noor-Ul-Haq Anwar, the General Director of AOP IEA, visited flood-affected areas of Maidan Wardak province yesterday.Hon. Anwar, visited the Basraq village, capital of Maidan Wardak and the Jalrez district among some other flood-affected areas and expressed his condolences with the affected families.Hon. Anwar participated in the funeral ceremony of the martyrs and assured the cooperation of the Islamic Emirate along with his condolences to the affected families.
Moreover, Hon. Anwar described this incident as painful during the funeral ceremony and added, we should have patience at the time of bereavement and should surrender to the will of Allah.In addition, Hon. Anwar said that relevant organs are busy assisting and providing urgent aid to the victims and added that we will spare no effort to help the victims.
In response, the residents of the area and affected families thanked the General Director of AOP IEA and the officials of the Islamic Emirate for standing by the people in times of trouble and sharing their grief.It should be mentioned that last night at around 2o'clock flash floods hit Maidan Wardak province, because of which people suffered heavy financial and personal losses.
According to the information provided, at least 30 people were martyred in this incident. The floods have also damaged or destroyed 400 homes and a further 40 people are feared missing under the rubble. Furthermore, 250 livestock have also died during this period.
