This meeting was held under the chairmanship of Mawlavi Saifuddin Taib, Deputy Director of the Monitoring & Policy of AOP IEA and with the participation of representatives of Kabul Medical University, the Ministry of Finance, Afghanistan Medical Council, the Ministry of Public Health and the National Food and drug administration.

The meeting commenced today, Thursday, June 14, 2023 in the meeting hall of AOP IEA, with the recitation of the Holy Quran, and then comprehensive discussions were made on various issues, based on the agenda of the meeting.Mawlavi Saifuddin Taib, Deputy Director of the Monitoring & Policy of AOP IEA, while addressing the participants, said that the purpose of establishing this committee was to address the people's complaints about the quality and proper supply of health services in the government and private hospitals of the country.

H.E Taib also added, that so far, the Directorate of Monitoring and Evaluation of AOP IEA, in coordination with the Ministry of Public Health, has evaluated 22 government and private hospitals and shared the report with the High Authority of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan.

Meanwhile, the representatives of the relevant administrations expressed their views and ideas to deal with the problems of the people in the supply of health services.Moreover, in this first meeting of the committee, the leadership and members of the committee, in coordination with the Ministry of Justice, discussed the fees of doctors in private hospitals, the prices of examinations and hospitalization, the lack of hygiene in hospitals and a number of other topics.At the end of the meeting, it was decided that the members of the committee and the supporting administrations should prepare the work procedure of the committee and share it with the committee in the next meeting in order to start the practical work.

The meeting concluded with a prayer for goodwill.
