Follow-up Meeting Held on Implementation of Decree No. 17 of His Highness Amir al-Mu'minin (May Allah Protect Him)


On July 16, 2026, the fourth follow-up meeting on the implementation of Decree No. 17 of His Highness Amir al-Mu'minin (May Allah Protect Him) was held under the leadership of the Director of Media at the General Directorate of Administrative Affairs, Mufti Ihsanullah Badar, with the participation of deputies and representatives from the Ministry for the Propagation of Virtue, Prevention of Vice and Hearing of Complaints, Ministry of Higher Education, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Interior Affairs, Ministry of Hajj and Religious Affairs, Ministry of Information and Culture, Ministry of Borders, Tribes and Tribal Affairs, General Directorate of Monitoring and Follow-up of Decrees and Orders, the Director of Planning, Evaluation and Analysis of Emirate Reports, and the Deputy Director of Media at the General Directorate of Administrative Affairs.

At the beginning of the meeting, the Director of Media, Mufti Ihsanullah Badar, spoke about the importance of the comprehensive implementation of Decree No. 17 of His Highness Amir al-Mu'minin (May Allah Protect Him) and its practical outcomes. He added that, alongside raising public awareness about Decree No. 17, it is also necessary to evaluate its practical results. He stated that a central committee composed of representatives from the institutions included in the decree is closely monitoring the outcomes of its implementation. Following this, representatives of the mentioned institutions shared reports on all activities carried out since the issuance of the decree, as well as their work plans prepared for the upcoming year, with the meeting participants.

At the conclusion of the meeting, it was decided that the prepared form for collecting the results of the decree’s implementation should be sent to all relevant institutions. Additionally, the implementation plan prepared to prevent harmful customs and traditions should be shared with the meeting participants for finalization.

The meeting, which was held in the conference hall of the General Directorate of Administrative Affairs, began with the recitation of the Holy Quran and concluded with a prayer for goodwill.
